Basic Statement of Beliefs

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the Word of God written and complete, inspired by the Holy Spirit, and it is the final authority in all matters of faith and practice.

God

We believe in one eternal, infinite, and sovereign God, manifested to man as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His atonement for man through His shed blood and death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal visible return in power and glory.

The Holy Spirit

We believe in the ministry of the Holy Spirit to convict men of sin, and of regenerating, sanctifying, illuminating, comforting, empowering, and preserving all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit as a separate experience from conversion in which the believer is empowered to be an effective witness and to live victoriously.

Satan

We believe Satan is a spiritual being, the originator of sin and the enemy of God and man, whose destiny is eternal punishment.

Man

We believe that man was created in the image of God to have fellowship with God but fell into sin and that man can only be restored to his God-intended relationship through true repentance and personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
Future Things
We believe in:
   1. The personal bodily and glorious return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
   2. The resurrection of the just and the unjust.
   3. The eternal blessedness of the redeemed.
   4. The conscious eternal punishment of the wicked in hell.

The Local Church

We believe that the local church is a gathered assembly of people who have been born again, called out from the world, separated unto the Lord Jesus Christ, voluntarily associated for the ministry of the Word, the mutual edification of its members, the propagation of the faith, and the observance of the ordinances.
We believe that it is a sovereign, independent body exercising its own divinely awarded gifts, precepts, and privileges under the lordship of Jesus Christ, the great head of the Church.
We believe that its officers are pastors and deacons and other leaders chosen and selected by the individual local assembly.
